Ingenuity Announces 10th Annual IngenuityFest Dates and Location

Cleveland, OH – (May 27, 2014) Ingenuity has announced that their 10th annual IngenuityFest will be held September 26-28, returning to Dock 32 just north of First Energy Stadium on Cleveland’s downtown lakefront and expanding the footprint to include North Coast Harbor. IngenuityFest is a three-day annual celebration of art, technology, creativity, and innovation. The festival is free and open to the public.

Ingenuity is currently working with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Museum and the Great Lakes Science Center to bring festival programming into their spaces as well.

“As we celebrate Ingenuity’s 10th anniversary, it is thrilling to see the festival begin to transform into a multi-venue event. It was part of the original vision for the festival and it’s a crucial step in realizing our goal to transform the festival into a destination-event with multiple weeks and venues!” says Paula Grooms, Ingenuity’s Executive Director.

James Krouse, Ingenuity’s Artistic Director, is very excited about the programming for the 10th annual festival. “We have some great entries to choose from this year. This year’s IngenuityLabs project, S.A.R.A., which combines technology and dance, will be a very captivating piece and ultimately a great educational tool.”

IngenuityFest, which attracts an audience of about 40,000 each year, plans to continue expanding the footprint in coming years. Previous locations include Public Square, East 4th Street, Prospect Avenue, Playhouse Square, the Veterans Memorial (Detroit-Superior) Bridge, and Docks 30 and 32 on Cleveland’s downtown lakefront.
