University Circle Mural Project

Ingenuity Cleveland, in partnership with University Circle Inc. is pleased to announce a call for artists to design the concept, and paint a large-scale temporary mural for Wade Oval's Ice Skating Rink!

The Rink at Wade Oval, University Circle’s picturesque outdoor ice rink, will open for the season Friday, Dec. 4. University Circle Inc. is seeking an artist who can create an original mural which will be used as a backdrop for visiting guests to take photos with. Think of this artistic piece as a key image that guests will want to take photos with, or in front of! This piece should also inspire and encourage people to visit Wade Oval throughout the winter if images are posted to social media. The social media handle which must be incorporated into the works is #TheRink. Ideas for the mural concept could involve ice skating, togetherness, hot chocolate, a fire pit and concessions and the color blue - but do not feel limited to these ideas! Totally original works and ideas will be considered, and are encouraged!

Artists will be compensated for their work!
