Save Our Stages Panel (w/ Cleveland Venue Managers)
It's no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic has turned the arts & culture sector upside down. Venues are closed, employees are struggling, programming has halted. During the 48-hour festival, we will be talking to some of Cleveland's best and brightest venue managers, like Gabe Pollack of the Bop Stop, about what happens now.
In Gabe's Own Words:
"Music venues were the first to close and the last to reopen. I don't think that operating with the current restrictions in place even counts as being reopened, as it is impossible to cover costs. Music venues are in the business of bringing people together and that is something that we can't really do these days. Venues across the country lit up red on 9/2 to bring attention to these issues as part of Red Alert Restart."
