SUMMARY:MetroHealth Cleveland Juneteenth Freedom Festival
DESCRIPTION:Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery on June 19\, 1865 – the day when all African Americans were freed from slavery. Set to take place on Friday\, June 16 with a Community Fireworks Show starting at sundown + Saturday\, June 17 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on Mall C in the heart of Downtown Cleveland\, the city-wide\, family-friendly celebration and commemoration of Juneteenth. \nFestivities will also include a vendor village\, soul food row to spotlight Black businesses and entrepreneurs; community programming and education\, spoken-word performances\, interactive art demonstrations\, food and much more.
